Play SNES Games On The Go, No Matter Where You Are
SNES Emulator SNES9x is an "emulator" that allows you to play digital files of SNES games that you already have. It advertises the ability to run NES and arcade games as well, though this is much more poorly supported. It works on both phones and tablets as well as other devices.
Simple, yet not
Using this emulator is quite easy, particularly if you already have the game (usually .SFC) files you need to run it. Though SNES9x theoretically should support things like recording video, in practice many devices simply cannot do this, and the software is not well-suited for it. The interface is workable especially on a tablet, but the buttons are large and may sometimes obscure gameplay.
A nine-star choice
Overall, SNES Emulator SNES9x works very well for playing games from its namesake console. It manages to support obscure titles with mappers, it works with even foreign-language games, and it runs well with a device that can handle it. Slower devices from before the emulator's release may not work as well, and it lacks for auxiliary features, but SNES9x is well worth trying.
